With summer in full swing, kids are out of school and every parent hearing the dreaded “I’m bored! There’s nothing to do!” If your family wants to get out of the house, here is some fun things to do in and around Acadiana that will ensure a fun filled day!
Visit the resort style RV Park, Isle of Iberia in New Iberia, La. They offer public swim days and times this summer. There’s a $10 per person entry fee and limited bands sold each day. It is a sure fire way to tire out those kids that have endless energy with its lazy river for your older kids or the splash pad for your smaller kids enjoy .
If you want to beat the heat and stay indoors check out Bargain Tuesdays at the Celebrity Theater in Broussard, La. With $5 entry all day they also offer $5 Nachos’, Kids Combo, Cheeto Popcorn and if Mom and Dad want to relax, $5 Daquari’s, Margarita’s & Boozy Icee’s. They have something to satisfy everyone!
If your thinking about a little family competition check out Noah’s Adventure’s Mini Golf in Bayou Vista, La. They have some great deals being offered for the month of July. So go work up a sweat while playing mini golf and then cool off in their splash pad!
If you’re wanting a quick getaway with or without the kids check out The Golden Nugget in Lake Charles. They have a great lazy river and swimming area. Or enjoy the adult only swimming area.
If you have some crafters on your hands check out Mindi’s DIY Art Shack in Franklin, La. Get the creativity flowing for both you and your little ones with lots of different things to choose from.
If you’re looking for a cost efficient water park check out Spar Waterpark in Sulpher, La. With admission being only $12 (if you’re out of district 4) this is a steal that will leave Mom, Dad and the kiddos cooling off and enjoying the day.
